INSYDIUM LTD has acquired DPIT Effex from Navié.

We are pleased to announce that INSYDIUM LTD has acquired the DPIT Effex simulation framework from Navié.

About DPIT Effex

  • DPIT Effex was first released in August 2009, bringing fluid simulation to Cinema 4D. Effex was the child of DPIT Nature Spirit 4.0 that was released in 2007, taking its particle and fluid simulation into a dedicated plugin.
  • In 2010 Effex 1.5 was released bringing the first liquid simulation plugin to Cinema 4D.
  • In 2013 Navié was born (previously known as Katachi) and released Effex 2.0 with a complete rewrite of the framework to bring in a highly versatile multi-threaded system with state-of-the-art algorithms.
  • In October 2014 Effex 2.5 was released which saw Bullet Physics, rigid body fluid interactions and surface tension added.
  • In October 2016 Effex 2.8 was released, this brought enhancements to liquid simulation with the APIC solver, OpenCL, level sets and sound support.
