The release of Cinema 4D 2024 brings exciting new features and capabilities, but also requires significant updates to ensure compatibility with third-party plugins and integrations, like Fused. While understandable, customers may not fully appreciate the scope of work these updates entail.
When core architecture and APIs are modified in a new software version, dependent systems, like INSYDIUM Fused, must be carefully analyzed and re-engineered to adapt to the changes. This meticulous software development and rigorous QA testing is vital, but very time-intensive. Updating a complex integration, like Fused, is not a simple matter of tweaking a few lines of code. The new Cinema 4D API introduces fundamental changes that touch many different modules and functions within INSYDIUM Fused.
